Hunger No More Initiative For Haiti 5K Walk/Run

The Foundation will be hosting it first 5K Walk/Run For Haiti on March 17, 2019 at FAU in Boca Raton , Florida . The Foundation is currently working on three projects , “ The Hunger No More Initiative “ , “ The 360 Education Project “ and “ The Rebuild Lakay Movement “. It needless to say , that currently “ famine ‘’ is a big factor that disable it peoples in various way . From the inability to provide basic needs as food to your love one to the disinterest to become a scholar , because survival is a greater present need . The Foundation main goal is to help as many as we can one step at the time , to promote education and eventually help rebuild the landscape of this beautiful Country Haiti . Over %90 of the population is in poverty and yes we know it is a huge mission that will take years even decades but the plan is to do our part , plant a seed that eventually will become a catalyst to jump start Haiti a better Future . This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip finish. The "official time" will start when the gun/horn goes off.   Race (Bib) Number Requirements:   Each participant will receive a Race (Bib) number that must be worn on race day. DO NOT alter your race number in any way. Your bib number must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race so that it may be clearly seen. Bib numbers are not transferable, and MUST be worn by the runner to whom it is assigned.   Can I run with iPod/headphones? Yes. USATF, the national governing body of the sport, recently amended its ban on headphones, iPods and similar devices. However, athletes competing for prize money are not allowed to use electronic devices such as headphones and earpieces.   Can I run with my Garmin GPS or my Nike Plus device? Yes, participants may wear their Garmin GPS watches and/or Nike Plus devices. However, these items do not count as “second timing devices" and will not be recognized by the event as official times or distances.   What is NOT allowed on the course? The use of video devices, cell phones, computers, cameras or any similar devices by participants in the event is prohibited. The use of wheeled devices by participants or any other person authorized to be on the course shall be strictly limited to: (a) authorized and registered competitive wheelchair participants; and (b) authorized course marshals on bicycles. Baby joggers, baby strollers, skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device will not be permitted.   Do you have a Lost & Found in case I lose something at the Event or on the racecourse? Yes. We will have a Lost & Found for items that were lost and found on race day. If you are missing a personal item, please call: 505.217-4774.   I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I get a refund, donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else? No. Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib are strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events. All entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event.   If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund? No. Please refer to our official event rules and guidelines.   Can I defer my entry to the next year if I am unable to run this year? No, participants cannot defer their entries to the next year in the event that they are unable to run.   Can a friend pick up my packet for me if I cannot attend Packet Pickup? Yes. Your friend can pick up your packet for you.    What is NOT allowed on the course? For everyone’s safety baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted on the 4-Miler course only. Strollers and baby joggers must start at the back of the pack and your child must be secured in the stroller at all times.   Inclement Weather Policy:   Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event paying special attention to the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds and extreme temperatures. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these predictions on the Run Fit website: www.irunfit.org  so that participants can properly prepare for severe weather during the race as well as possible course alterations. Severe weather updates will also be sent to participants via email as necessary. The Race Director will monitor the weather and decide if any action will be taken to modify the race. Possible changes include: altering the start time for the race or in extreme situations, cancellation of the event. Please listen closely to all public address announcements at the starting line of the race. Visible lightning will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 15 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 15-minute increments. If extreme heat is predicted, extra water will be provided to the athletes, prior to, during and after the event. The medical team will be alerted that athletes may require additional medical attention during and after the event due to the high temperatures.       Medical Support:       Medical staff members will be ready to assist you at any time. Radio communications personnel will be positioned at every aid/water station along the course. The event officials have the right to withdraw any runner from the race that appears in distress or at risk. If you have a health or medical problem at the Finish Line, you will be directed to the Medical Area … R.R. Aquatic Center. Please cooperate if you are asked to go for a checkup. If you feel that you need help at any point, please ask for it! If you are unable to finish the race for any reason, please notify a race official of your bib number so that the medical personnel are aware. Finish Information:     The overall and division award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on race day – immediately following the Kids K.   10 Miler & 10K:   Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time. Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women: 19 and Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Award times will be determined by gun time.   10: Miler: Finisher Medals to all participants who complete the event. 4-Miler:   Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time. Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women:   9 and Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Kingston City Marathon | ½ Marathon I 10K and 5K - Jamaican Residents ONLY

"Come Run This City, Feel the Vibes!" Started in 2013, The Kingston City Run began with a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Charity Run. The 2019 event will now include a full, IAAF Certified marathon taking place the weekend of March 15 – 17, 2019 and will feature a host of fun and memorable activities.  Make it a Family Affair With four race events, Kingston City Run is a "family affair" where the more serious runners can participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon or 10K while the kids and the less serious runers can enjoy the 5K Walk/Run!  The Course: The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K routes are IAAF certified courses measured by A grade measurer Bernie Conway. The course offers a very scenic, exciting and relatively flat route. Music and entertainment will be provided on all routes to ensure you - "feel the vibes".  The course will be electronically times using bib chip timing. There will be timing (split) points throughout the course.  The weekend also includes a Welcome party, Lifestyle and Fitness Expo, Pre-race Pasta Party, Awards ceremony and Finish line "reggae" party. Water, electrolyte fluid and medical support will be stationed throughout the race route.  Awards: Over 70 award categories are on offer including age group prizes! Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top male and female finishers in each age group: Commemorative medals will be awarded for Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K finishers and certificates for 5K finishers.   Destination Kingston: The city of Kingston is the capital of Jamaica! It's known as the sports, entertainment and cultural capital of the Caribbean. Kingston is a vibrant city and the race route will take runners through and by Kingston's most iconic attractions including the Peter Tosh and Bob Marley Museums, Devon House Mansion, King's House and the largest botanical garden on the island - Hope Gardens!  The route also takes you through some of Kingston and St. Andrew's most upscale neighbourhoods and starts and finishes at the beautiful and historic Emancipation Park in the heart of the business, diplomatic, shopping and financials district of New Kingston.  Kingstin is a UNESCO Creative city of Music - it is the birthplace of 5 genres of music ska, rocksteady, dub, reggae and dancehall! Run For The Health Of It 5K & 8K Run/Walk

The White-Wilson Community Foundation will host the 7th Annual Run for the Health of It 5K & 8K on Saturday, March 23, 2019.  Runners and walkers will traverse through the side streets located on beautiful Okaloosa Island.     Multiple categories for runners and walkers alike.  There will even be a "Diaper Dash" that will engage the little ones.  Medals will be awarded to the diaper dashers.   All proceeds benefit the White-Wilson Community Foundation and will help support health education and services in our community.  Working together we can all help make our community the healthiest on Earth!!Event details and schedulePick up your pre-race packet at AJ's Oyster Shanty on Fri. March 22 from 4:30 until 6:30 pm.  You will receive your t-shirt if you registered prior to March 15th, bib, and other information at that time. The event will begin on Sat. March 23 with last minute signup from 8:00 until 8:30 am at AJ's Oyster Shanty on Okaloosa Island.  There will be booths, group warm up activities, light snacks and lots of comaradarie.  Review the courses further on these event details.  The race will start promptly at 9:00 am.  Water stations will be provided along the way.Parking is a at a premium so be sure to arrive early enough to get a great place to park.  Be aware of some marked areas where "no parking" is allowed.   Race officials must have all waivers signed and on file prior to the race.  Wear comfortable clothing and pins are provided for the bibs.   Most importantly ... come prepared to have a fun filled day with friends and family.
