Zumbro Endurance Run

The Zumbro Endurance Run is a six-loop (6 x 16.7 = 100.2 Miles) for the 100M and a three-loop (3 x 16.7 = 50) 100% trail ultramarathon. The Zumbro Endurance Run trail races take place within the Zumbro River Bottoms Management Unit in Southeastern Minnesota’s Bluff Country – just outside of the tiny village of Theilman, MN approximately 1:45 from Minneapolis – St.Paul, MN. The races start and finish at the West Assembly / Horse Campround Area. Generally speaking the Zumbro River Bottoms Management Unit lies within a portion of the Richard J. Dorer Memorial Hardwood Forest – an expansive 1.7 million acre tract of Minnesota hardwood forest on the Northern edge of the Driftless Region which is mainly characterized by its tall bluffs and deeply carved river valleys. This “bluff country” is rugged, hauntingly beautiful and provides the perfect venue for miles of trail running – while this is certainly not an “easy” trail race it can still be a great choice for your first 100/50, that is if you are ready for a good amount of climbing / elevation gain. This is a laid back, old school, low-key trail race hosted by ultrarunners for ultrarunners.

Pinhoti 100

Pinhoti Trail Series began with the Mount Cheaha 50K as its inaugural race to the top (highest point) of Alabama. The dream and desire was to draw interest to trail running from the southeast and beyond and incorporate as much of the Pinhoti Trail system as possible. As Mount Cheaha grew, thus creating the “Series”, Pinhoti 100 was born. The Pinhoti 100 is a Point to Point Trail run starting in Heflin AL on the unmolested Pinhoti single track trail. Runners will make their way over the highest point in Alabama while navigation over rocks, through creeks and across beautiful ridge lines of the Talladega National Forest. The course will consist of 81 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road and 4 miles of pavement and will finish on the rubberized track in the Sylacauga High School Football Stadium.
