Online registratino is still open. Race day registration will be available in John Howell Park starting at 7:00 AM The 8th Annual USATF Certified Intown Ten 10K and 5K Road Races take place in the residential streets of Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods of Atlanta.  The 5K begins at 8AM sharp and the 10K starts at 9AM sharp.  Both courses are loops which start and finish near John Howell Park which is located at Virginia Avenue NE and Barnett Street NE, Atlanta, 30306.  Race proceeds benefit neighborhood causes including The YWCA of Greater Atlanta. The Intown Ten has become a favorite with runners because of the scenic course, high quality long sleeved t-shirts for 10K participants and short sleeved t-shirts for 5K participants and finishers flags for the first 100 10K finishers.    New for 2019, the top 50 5K finishers will receive finishers flags, and all 10K finishers registered by February 25th will receive finisher medals. Complimentary snacks from vendors such as Press And Grind, Sprouts, Go Go Squeez and more await at the finish line.  Sponsors will be set up at the race village in John Howell Park. We want to help them get back to their lives by providing no-cost therapy in order to reduce the likelihood of homelessness and suicide. Did you know that 1 in 5 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are diagnosed with PTSD and/or depression and that over 50% of homeless veterans have mental health issues? Did you also know that 20 veterans commit suicide each day and that veterans make up 20% of U.S. suicides? San Diego is known for being a military town. In fact, there are over 100,000 active duty and 240,500 veterans residing in San Diego County. It is very important that we get these men and women the help they need. If left untreated, many military men and women with mental health issues will continue to struggle to keep jobs.
