KYAH LAKE PLACID #1 - Triathlon Training Camp; 5/23/19-5/26/19

For those of you unsure about what KYAH is: (pronounced KAI-YA!) KYAH stands for Kick Your Ass Hard!!! It is a multi day camp held in a destination, which provides ample opportunity to swim, bike, and run. KYAH provides a great opportunity to take your fitness level to new heights. The Total Motion Aquathlon

The Total Motion Aquathlon returns to the iconic Tooting Bec Lido for the latest edition of this increasingly popular event. Get yourself down to the UK's largest freshwater pool for an 810m swim, followed by 2 loops of Tooting Common, racking up a respectable run of 5k. Whether you're a seasoned athlete, or simply looking for a fresh challenge, all competitors are welcome. Compete as an individual or in relay teams of two. As always the aquathlon will be chip timed, allowing you to receive times and splits immediately after you finish. Start Time 10:00am

Darley Moor May Junior Duathlon

The May Darley Moor Junior duathlon is open to children and youths aged from 8 to 16 years, and this year is included in the East Midlands Junior Triathlon regional race series. Open to all ability levels - you need only a roadworthy bike, helmet and a pair of trainers to enter, membership of a triathlon club or the BTF is optional.Taking place entirely within the traffic free Darley Moor race track, this duathlon offers an ideal venue to try a dual-disciplined sport. The event is chip timed with prizes for all age group winners.

Taunton Triathlon

Based at Taunton School, this event is perfect for novices and experienced athletes alike. A pool swim will be followed by a bike leg that will take you on a reasonably flat route through some of the beautiful villages near Taunton. The final challenge is a town centre run which finishes in front of the fabulous main school building.

Ironman Lanzarote

Located in the north of the Canary Islands next to northwest coast of Africa, this race is considered one of the toughest IRONMAN races in the world.IRONMAN Lanzarote is one of the longest-standing races in Europe. A Unesco biosphere reserve, Lanzarote is a captivating island with 300 volcanic cones. There are tropical beaches, interesting sights, and a plethora of restaurants and hotels. The landscape is starkly beautiful, reminiscent of the black lava fields of Kona, intermixed with tropical beachside scenes. Over the past few years, marked walking trails and rural accommodation options have increased. The islands major sights have been aesthetically developed by the late Csar Manrique, a Lanzarote native and artist.On race day, the event's two-lap swim course takes place at Playa Grande, Puerto del Carmen, the main tourist resort of the island. The bike course is well known for challenging athletes with strong winds, and leads athletes around the island with over 2551 meters of climbing. Participants will enjoy amazing views and will have lots of support from volunteers along the way. Finally, the 3-lap run course leads competitors along the flat sea front of Puerto del Carmen, towards the airport and back. Athletes will enjoy beautiful views of the ocean under the intense Lanzarote sun, while feeling the impressive support of thousands of spectators lining the streets. IRONMAN Lanzarote offers 40 qualifying slots to the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Phin Man Youth Triathlon

The PhinMan triathlon is for athletes between the age of 6 and 14 years of age on the date of the event.  There will be two races contested in and around Johnny Sims Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama:  10-14 will have a 100 yard swim, 2.7 mile bike ride, and a 0.83 mile run 6-9 will have a 50 yard swim, 1.8 mile bike ride, and a 0.4 mile run The swim will be a pool swim in the 25 yard indoor pool at the David L. Bodenhamer Recreation Center. REGISTRATION THIS YEAR IS LIMITED TO 150 PARTICIPANTS.Event details and scheduleCheck in on the day of the race begins at 7am.  Transition Area will be open and racers can be body marked. The first race for 10-14 year old triathletes starts at 8 am.   The second race for the 6-9 age group starts at about 8:45 am. It is recommended to park across West 2nd Street in the parking lot of the South Baldwin Community Theater.  Limited parking will be available on West 19th Avenue in the front parking lot of the Bodenhamer Center. Please note the east parking lot will be closed completely for the transition area and starting line for the race.   Each racer must have a bike helmet to participate in the events.   Awards will be given at approximately 9:40 am.

Capital City Biathlon - 2019

Saturday May 25th. Memorial Day Weekend at Stuart Park. 3.1 mile run and 15 mile bike on the Sangamon Valley Trail. This means NO TRAFFIC & NO SWIM Great event for new to endurance sports athletes and athletes and future concerned about the open water swim.  All entrants receive custom FINISHER race shirt, world famous socks with race logo, on course support and lunch at Stuart Park with an awards ceremony.  Please visit for all the details.  A 33 year old Springfield tradition.
