Need a bigger challenge? Run or walk 244 miles in 2019 to commemorate each year of the Corps’ illustrious history. Boerne Family YMCA 8th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and 10K

The 8th Annual 5k/10k Turkey Trot takes place on a scenic city run. It starts on the west by the Main Plaza in Boerne and follows the Old #9 trail. It will split off for the 5K and 10K but meet up on the route to finish together. The Trail walk is a meandering mile down by the Cibolo Creek.   The Turkey Trot is one of the Hill Country's top races. The 2018 we had over 730 register, so register early to ensure a shirt. Wizards 5k

This year marks the SECOND Wizards 5k! This noncompetitive 5k FUN RUN/WALK will take you on a magical journey through Seattle's Greenlake Park. Dress up as your favorite "Wizard" and join the fun! Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome and encouraged.​COST:  NO PRICE INCREASES! ​Run/walk $30 (includes race, bib, photos, medal)Kids (under 10) $20 (includes race, bib, photos, medal)Virtual 5k $25 (will mail medal in U.S.) *Optional t-shirt - stay tuned for more information.**No refunds or transfers from race day entry to virtual (or vice versa), no exceptions. Course:  The start/finish of the run/walk will be at Green Lake Park.  There will be a variety of fun opportunities at the start/finish and on the course for selfies/photos!  Ok, to bring your pet - dress your dog and stroller for the fun.  Sorry, no brooms or bikes allowed on the course. FAQs: ​Q.  Are strollers/dogs allowed?  A.  Yes, but please note that the path narrows on parts of the course.  Please line up in the back upon starting the race.  No charge for babies in strollers (but they won't get a medal unless you purchase a paid entry).Q.  Do I need to dress up?  A.  No.  But if you happen to have a wizards costume in your closet, wear it! Q.  What comes with the kid's entry?A.  The kid's entry includes everything an adult entry would include, but at a lesser charge.  Please only register for the kid's entry if the kid is 10 and under.  The kid's entry will be listed under the person who purchased the registration (their name). Q.  Is there a water station?  A.  Yes, we will have a water station halfway through the course.Q.  Is it ok to walk if I've chosen the run/walk option?  A.  Yes, of course!Q.  What is a virtual race?A.  A Virtual 5K (or any other virtual race) is a race that you choose to complete where ever you would like. You can walk, run, use a treadmill, or participate in another race.
