36th Annual Spirit Run
The 36th annual Spirit Run will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Fashion Island, Newport Beach. With 13 road racing events, a Family Mile, 5k Family Walk, and a Toddler Trot, Spirit Run has something for every age, from toddlers to grandparents. Spirit Run allows you to double or triple your fun by offering you the opportunity to race multiple races and to be eligible to win medals and prizes in each one. Spirit Run also gives adults the choice of whether to buy an event t-shirt. They may choose to purchase a Spirit Run tech shirt. Families registered with the Family or Grand Family Rate may also purchase both adult and youth shirts. The youth registrant fee entitles the registrant to a free youth sized Spirit Run shirt with an option to upgrade to an adult tech shirt. In between the walking and racing events, participants and spectators enjoy a Youth & Fitness Expo with a delicious pancake breakfast, other food and beverages, live music, massage and shopping for adults, youth activities, health and fitness information, and a Dog Expo. Spirit Run is an event for ALL schools! The 5k and 10k courses take place primarily on Newport Center Drive. The Elite, Open, High School, and Dog Mile travel a point to point course on Newport Center Drive that begins with a slight incline with the majority an easy decline to a flat finish. Directions All races start and finish near the Regal Cinemas at Fashion Island located at: Regal (Edwards Big 6) Cinemas300 Newport Center DriveNewport Beach, CA92660 To avoid road closures, please follow arrival directions carefully. Due to event day road closures access the Fashion Island area via San Miguel from MacArthur or Avocado from PCH. Eastbound San Joaquin Hills Road, Newport Center Drive at PCH, and around Fashion Island will be closed. From Coast Highway – take Avocado Dr. north to parking lots adjacent to Edwards Newport Theatre at Civic Center (formerly Farallon) and San Miguel. From the 405 Freeway – exit MacArthur Blvd., head southwest. Turn right on San Miguel Dr. follow signs to parking. Arrive one hour before the start of the event to allow time for parking, packet pick-up and warm-up on race day. Parking Parking is available next to Regal (Edwards Big 6) Cinemas at Avocado Dr., Civic Center (formerly Farallon). and also San Miguel. Follow signs and directions of volunteers. 3-Leaf Indoor Triathlon
Join Team ER and LifeCenter Plus for our 2019 3-Leaf Indoor Triathlon! Our triathlon consists of a 20-minute swim, 20-minute bike, and 20-minute run. Come enjoy a morning of eent races, followed by post-race snacks and an awards ceremony. This event is great for someone new to the triathlon world, as well as the seasoned triathlete! Are you feeling lucky?! Try your hand at our indoor triathlon this year!!!Event details and scheduleDoors open at 7:00am and the race starts at 8:00am. At your start time, you will begin with a 20 minute swim in LifeCenter Plus' indoor pool. You will have a 5 minute transition to the cycling area for a 20 minute ride on their bikes. Another 5 minute transition to their indoor track for the final leg, a 20 minute run/walk. Race volunteers will record the total distance covered during your swim, bike and run. Individual participants will be ranked against others in their division. Divisions will be split into male, female and age groups. Team participants will be ranked against other participating teams. Registration is priced for individual registration or 3-person team registration, and includes event t-shirt (per participant), swag bag, finisher medals. Kingston City Marathon | ½ Marathon I 10K and 5K - Jamaican Residents ONLY
"Come Run This City, Feel the Vibes!" Started in 2013, The Kingston City Run began with a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Charity Run. The 2019 event will now include a full, IAAF Certified marathon taking place the weekend of March 15 – 17, 2019 and will feature a host of fun and memorable activities. Make it a Family Affair With four race events, Kingston City Run is a "family affair" where the more serious runners can participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon or 10K while the kids and the less serious runers can enjoy the 5K Walk/Run! The Course: The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K routes are IAAF certified courses measured by A grade measurer Bernie Conway. The course offers a very scenic, exciting and relatively flat route. Music and entertainment will be provided on all routes to ensure you - "feel the vibes". The course will be electronically times using bib chip timing. There will be timing (split) points throughout the course. The weekend also includes a Welcome party, Lifestyle and Fitness Expo, Pre-race Pasta Party, Awards ceremony and Finish line "reggae" party. Water, electrolyte fluid and medical support will be stationed throughout the race route. Awards: Over 70 award categories are on offer including age group prizes! Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top male and female finishers in each age group: Commemorative medals will be awarded for Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K finishers and certificates for 5K finishers. Destination Kingston: The city of Kingston is the capital of Jamaica! It's known as the sports, entertainment and cultural capital of the Caribbean. Kingston is a vibrant city and the race route will take runners through and by Kingston's most iconic attractions including the Peter Tosh and Bob Marley Museums, Devon House Mansion, King's House and the largest botanical garden on the island - Hope Gardens! The route also takes you through some of Kingston and St. Andrew's most upscale neighbourhoods and starts and finishes at the beautiful and historic Emancipation Park in the heart of the business, diplomatic, shopping and financials district of New Kingston. Kingstin is a UNESCO Creative city of Music - it is the birthplace of 5 genres of music ska, rocksteady, dub, reggae and dancehall! This city will move you! Seoul Marathon 2019
First held in 1931, Seoul marathon is the oldest marathon event continuously held in Asia, and the second oldest in the world following the Boston Marathon.It embodies modern history of Korea, also referred to as “The Miracle On the Han River”, as the race starts from Gwanghwamun (the palace) -the very heart of South Korean Capital, passes through the city hall and “Cheong-Gye-Cheon” - the testament of Korea’s modern history, and ends in the Seoul Olympic Stadium where 1988 Summer Olympics was held.One of the fastest courses in Asia, it is the only IAAF Gold Label competition in the Republic of Korea, and the men’s course record of 2:05:13 and the women’s course record at 2:19:51 are exceptional records which are hard to find in other competitions.Currently, about 35,000 participants run in the Seoul Marathon and show their love and interest in the contest. Any participant is welcomed as long as they apply before the deadline.Seoul marathon's record is also accepted in most major marathon events like Boston or New York. A commemorative t-shirt or singlet will be given to all participants, and a certificate(PDF) with a finisher medal will be given to every participate who pass the finishing line in time.In addition, participants can easily enjoy the rich sights of Seoul and varieties of foods. Billsburg St Paddy's Day Beer Mile
Join us at Billsburg Brewery for the first annual St. Paddy’s Day Beer Mile. Anyone can sign up to volunteer, but all participants must be an adult 21 and over only for the social run. Prizes to the fastest male and female overall. Wear your Holiday finest, costume contest judging for most creative. 12 noon registration and packet pickup begins1:00 PM Halfpenny St. Patrick's Day Parade1:30 PM the Inaugural Billsburg St. Paddy's Day Beer Mile on the grounds of the brewery. Immediately followed by a festive post race party with finisher medals, awards, food, DJ 1:30 PM Sunday March 17th, 2019 Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Drink, Run, Party All participants receive a custom finisher medal. Prizes to the fastest male and female overall. Rules: -Participants must be 21 or older, there will be a non-alcoholic division, 18 and over for non-alcoholic division -Must have a designated driver, or stay and sober up before driving -No other rules! No experience necessary! All abilities welcome! Registration: -$30 per person includes beverage (Root beer for the Non-alcoholic division), and a cool finisher medal! -Limited to the first 150 registrations in the beer division and 50 in the Non-alcoholic division. The Halfpenny Parade is named after our beloved Conor Halfpenny as this was originally all his idea. Our parade is not technically the worlds shortest parade (that record is held at 8 feet long), but at 100 feet we are touting it as the world's second shortest. This year we will include Grand Marshall Robert Kyle completely dressed up in drag as Ms Patrick. We will feature talent from the Newport News Pipes and Drums Corp. We will have the return of the largest Leprechaun, our friend Kevin Malory who stands roughly 6’6” Our DJ will be there announcing the parade as we walk the entire 100 foot distance. Spectators may cheer from the deck and sidelines. Wear your favorite St. Paddy's Day attire to participate in the parade.
