Brigantine Triathlon, Duathlon & 5K

This Triathlon is a grass roots triathlon that has been around for 30 years.  It boasts as being one of the first triathlon in South Jersey and is still in existance!  We try to keep our registration fees affordable and dont agree with the outrageous commercialization and price gouging within the sport.  This sprint race is embraced by the City of Brigantine Beach and almost ALL of the 100 volunteer base come from the residents of the island and believe in this event. Come conquer the Island by swimming 1/4 mile in the bay, biking around the circumfence of the island, 11 miles,  and running to the North end and back on the 4 mile course.  We hope you choose to continue to support this community event that raised money for the Brigantine Community, Kids and Recreation program of the town. Train safely and we hope to see you this year!Event details and schedule

History tells us that the inspiration for this great event came via a note from Fairfaxs US correspondent, who sent a newspaper clipping in 1970 about the San Francisco Bay to Breakers to the editor of The Sun newspaper, Jack Tier. The reputation of this uniquely Sydney event has grown year on year and the event is widely recognised as a bucket-list item for serious runners and adventure lovers around the world. The Telegraph listed the event as one of the 16 Great Running Races Around the World, whilst Runners World lists the event in their 20 Races To Do Before You Die. Runtastic counts the event amongst its list of the Worlds Most Extraordinary Races and Running Shoes Guru lists the event as one of the Top Ten Running Races In The World.
