The Weston Super Half will set off from Marine Parade at the entrance to The Grand Pier. It will take in the glorious sites of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding picturesque Somerset villages and countryside in this single lap, closed road, fast and flat (ish) half marathon event. And the pice de rsistance, a totally unique opportunity to finish quarter of a mile out to sea on Weston's Grand Pier.
Be aware of road closures and timings and plan your journey accordingly.• If you intend to use public transport please take into consideration road closures and the early start.• Important: There isn’t an official race car park and no parking will be available at the race start – if you have to drive to the event we advise using pay and display car parks (see below for further guidance).• If you live within 2-5 miles, please consider cycling. What is the date of the Weston Super Half 2019?Sunday 24th March 2019.What time does the race start?10:15 AM.Where is the start/finish?The half marathon will set off from Marine Parade - the finish will be at the end of the Grand Pier.How old must I be to enter?You must be 17 years or older on race day. Younger runners can take part in the Community MileWhen will I receive my race pack?Race packs will be sent out during the last two weeks leading up to the race.Can I run wearing an iPod, MP3 player or other personal stereo device?We advise against the use of iPods, MP3 players or other personal stereo devices to ensure runners are able to hear any announcements or medical alerts.Can I sign up on the day?No. We cannot accept entries on the day.Do I need to register on the day after I've signed up? No. Just come along and line up in your allocated start pen.Where is the race village?The race village is on Marine Parade.Can I run in fancy dress?Yes, as long as it is not obstructive to other runners.Is there a cut-off time for runners?TAt 3 hours 30 minutes, any participants remaining on the course will be asked to move onto the pavement.Will there be pacers?Yes. There are pacers from 1 hour 30 minutes at 15 minutes intervals up to 2 hours 30 minutesCan I transfer my entry to someone else?You must not, under any circumstances, give your race number to anyone else. Among other potential problems, doing so may cause problems of identification for the event medical services in the event of any accident or injury.
